One in five women in Miami-Dade County lives in poverty and women in Miami make on average 87 cents to every dollar made by men.

Those are just some of the reasons members of the Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade are on a mission to close the pay gap here in South Florida.

Janet Altman, Chairwoman of the Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade joins us to discuss the groups multi-year plan to help close the pay gap.
