MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Miami-Dade Fire officials are investigating reports of a manhole explosion near Sunset Place mall.

Fire officials say the call came in as an explosion underground at SW 57th Avenue near US-1.

Smoke could be seen billowing out of the manhole.

No injuries were reported.

Florida Power & Light and Hazmat crews were called to investigate.

Hundreds of FPL customers lost power near the area following the explosion, but FPL said they were able to restore the power for most customers quickly.

At last check, traffic lights in the area were affected causing some traffic delays.
