SCOUTING: You would have to say that for his first two years as a varsity quarterback, things have worked out very well for this talented prospect. After leading Miami Sunset to a district crown in 2015, he made the move this year to play for the Spartans - and after leading this football program to an 8A title, the offseason will be very bright. Cox is an athletic football player who can play other positions, but with a year under his belt and the offseason beginning - watch his stock rise in the spring when college coaches can watch and appreciate. He was a part of a two-quarterback system that this program ran this year - to keep the opposition off guard. The play of the defense was also helpful in giving he and the offense an opportunity to make a statement. This will be a very important next six months as he gets ready for the colleges who will be around to see his progress.
