FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - An employee of a Margate dance studio is facing a child neglect charges after she allegedly left a five-year-old girl in a transport van.

On September 16th, Courtney Cristiano, 23, picked up the girl and several other students at the Renaissance School and drove them to the DANL Dance Studio for aftercare. During the trip, the girl fell asleep in a rear passenger seat.

When they arrived the kids got out and Cristiano reportedly failed to look in the back of the van to make sure it was empty.

Cristiano's arrest report states the girl was in the van for an hour and fifteen minutes. When she woke up she was soaked in sweat and had urinated on herself.

After screaming for help and "Miss Courtney," the report says she was able to get out of the van through the driver's side door. She walked into the studio where the staff gave her water and a change of clothes.

When her mother picked her pick, she was taken to Coral Springs Medical Center where she was treated for dehydration.
