MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The CBSMiami Facebook Shelter Pet of the Week features two beautiful and sweet larger dogs.

The first is Carlos who has been at the Miami-Dade Animal Shelter for more than 100 days. Carlos is one of 13 dogs who are part of the 100 List, dogs at the shelter for more than 100 days.

Carlos is about one and a half years old and will need a place to run.  All Carlos wants for Christmas is a place to call home.

Currently, there are about 250 large dogs in the facility including Moo, a female lab mix who would make a great walking companion, because she's a bit well-fed and could stand to lose a few pounds.

Moo is about two years old and is very sweet and mellow. She was a stray, found in the street and brought into the shelter on December 2nd.

This month, the shelter really wants you to adopt, not shop for a family pet. That's why they are running a special called 'Pets are Priceless' which waives all adoption fees on all dogs and cats over 4 months old.

The Pets are Priceless promotion runs from December 1st through December 31st.  Adopters will only be responsible for the $27 license fee for dogs except that fee will also be waived for any dog on the 100 List.

All the cats at the shelter come spayed or neutered, microchipped and already have their age-appropriate vaccines.

For those of you who can't adopt a cat or kitten but just want to cuddle with them, Miami-Dade Animal Services has a kitten cuddling program which allows people to volunteer their time to help with the cats and kittens and give them lots of tender loving care.

Miami-Dade Animal Services is located at 3599 NW 79 Ave. in Doral.
