MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Art aficionados are flocking to South Florida for the annual world-renowned Art Basel Miami Beach.

While Art Basel does not open to the public until Thursday, those lucky enough are able to get in by invitation starting Wednesday.

But it's not the only spot during Miami's Art Week.

A drive away, there 's the Design District where Art Miami calls home, for the week at least. The art fair which lasts until Sunday, boasts thousands of pieces from more than 130 exhibitors. There are big names in the mix with pieces from Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Willem de Kooning.

Down the road, you have the arts district of Wynwood where they are showing off one of the neighborhood's favorite parts - Wynwood Walls.

But enough about the art, let's look at the celebrities - Madonna and Heidi Klum to name a few.

Ocean Drive Magazine's Art of the Party had their host Heidi Klum for a big bash in Wynwood Tuesday evening.

Cover star Klum, wearing a skin tight sequined "YSL" halter jumpsuit, wowed the partygoers, and even herself,  celebrating her seventh time on the magazine's  cover.

"I'm very honored to be on Ocean Drive Magazine," Klum said. "It's a big deal, even for me who's been in this business for 20 years, it's still exciting."

The event is about Furtif Art Project, featuring six notable talents who created pieces of art on desks and  will benefit the lotus house.

Klum's work of art was inspired by butterflies and benefits UNICEF.

"I painted a whole week long. I painted butterflies. My whole house stunk like paint but I had fun," she said.

And being a part of the first official night of Art Week Miami is not lost on this super model turned TV host.

"Miami is definitely buzzing right now. It's Art Basel so everyone is coming into town looking at all the amazing art," Klum said.

To add in a bit of pop, Madonna will be in Miami for a benefit that is costing attendees a pretty penny. Let's say thousands.  The Raising Malawi event is at the Faena hotel in Miami Beach. CBS's James Corden will emcee the event on Friday evening. There will also be an art auction along with appearances by Chris Rock, Ariana Grande and Sean Penn.

That's just to name a few.

If you'd like to bid on any of the artsy desks that are part of Furtif Art Project, the auction is on through December. The auction is on www.biddingforgood.com/thefutifartproject.
