ORLANDO (CBSMiami) – Sad news concerning a bald eagle rescued from a storm drain in Orlando last week.

The eagle, whose condition worsened over the weekend, died Monday night.

Last Thursday, two eagles were found on top of each other stuck in the drain.

One of the birds managed to fly away after about an hour. A rescue team freed the second eagle and it was taken in by specialists because it had suffered several injuries.
