MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Vice President Joe Biden stumped for Hillary Clinton in Palm Beach Gardens Wednesday afternoon.

Biden took the stage, aiming his speech mostly at one generation.

"The millennials literally make up more of the voting population this time out than my generation of baby boomers," said Biden while at the Palm Beach State College Amphitheater. "They are the most welcoming, the most volunteering, the most open, the most aggressive generation in American history."

With Senatorial Candidate Patrick Murphy by his side, Biden urged Generation Y-ers to get out and vote, get involved in this election and also vote for Murphy in a Senatorial race aimed at winning back the majority in Congress.

"We have to win the Senate for Hillary. It has to be led by new voices like Patrick," said Biden. "They will be more responsible under Democratic leadership. Hillary will have a chance to get things done."

Moving on to the most contentious election this year, Biden urged Floridians to not get comfortable with Election Day six days away.

"We can't take our eye off the ball," said Biden.

Biden did not miss out on a chance to talk about Clinton's opponent, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

"But here's a guy that says and brags about his money, his power, and his star power to say that he can do....the textbook definition of sexual assault. He says that's what he does. That's what he did," said Biden.

Biden even went after the Republican party, saying they were spineless for supporting Trump after allegations he acted inappropriately with women.

"This is not your father's Republican party. This is a different deal," said Biden.

Earlier in the day, Biden rallied in Tampa at another Clinton event.

His visit comes as a new Quinnipiac University poll - released Wednesday - shows the race in Florida would be too close to call with  Clinton leading with 46 percent and Trump with 45 percent. The poll had a margin of error of +/- 3.9 percentage points.  Click here to read more about Campaign 2016.
