Man Takes Sledge Hammer To Trump's Star On Walk Of Fame

LOS ANGELES (CBSMiami) - Someone out in Tinsel Town has a really strong dislike for GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.
The real estate billionaire's star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood was vandalized. The man who did it was dressed as a city construction worker and used a sledgehammer and pick-ax.
A man who identified himself as Jamie Otis says he's responsible for the damage.
Otis claimed he did it to extract the star, according to Deadline, which he planned to auction off to raise money for the women who have come forward to accuse Trump of sexually assaulting them.
Trump's star was dedicated in 2007 in recognition of his days as host of The Apprentice
This is not the first time Trump's star has been vandalized, but it has never been damaged so severely.
The Los Angeles police are investigating.
