Jones is an outstanding athlete who started at St. Thomas Aquinas and has since moved over to play for the Patriots - and if you ask any coach, player or fan, all will tell you what he has meant to this program since arriving. He's a very fast an elusive slot receiver who has been tremendous as a running back as well. For those who have watched him play in the past, what he has accomplished this season is certainly no surprise. One of the most technically-sound players in South Florida, and the college coaches have caught on - following his every move on the field. With this defensive-oriented team looking for that instant offense, first-year head coach Pat Surtain and his staff have not been afraid to put this young man in the spotlight. As this program marches back toward another Class 5A state title, this will be one of those catalysts on the offensive side of the ball making it happen.
