MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Miami-Dade County elections officials put voting equipment to the test today.
As is customary in each election, the county's election department conducted a comprehensive examination of the equipment that will be used to elect the next president of the United States on November 8th.
They conducted what's called a "Logic and Accuracy Test" at the Elections Department Headquarters in Doral.

The test went through the full voting process from opening the equipment to transmitting and calculating the results. Ballots were cast with a predetermined outcome then calculated to make sure the results matched.
It's just one of several other measures taken to prep for the election. All this as Florida is set to start early voting on October 24th. Absentee ballots have already been sent out as well.
