FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- One person is dead after a truck slammed into a Fort Lauderdale home Tuesday afternoon.

Three people were inside the car when the driver lost control and hit a home located at NW 13th Street and NW 23rd Avenue.

The driver died in the crash and the two others were taken as trauma alerts to a nearby hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.

It is believed the driver may have suffered a heart attack or seizure. Fort Lauderdale Police said there were no skid marks or evidence of any attempt to stop.  The truck hit the house full tilt.

City officials posted building not safe to be occupied notices on the house.

None of the occupants, 12 men and women, was hurt.

The home is some sort of boarding house operated by a church.

A minister who arrived at the scene refused to speak to reporters and ordered the residents not to speak to the media.
