While many tried to project this impressive talent at tight end a year ago, they quickly saw that his skill level is as a big-body receiver who has speed, catches the ball in traffic and will make an impact against any defensive secondary - like he has the past two seasons. The special thing about this young man is that he is physical and will not be intimidated by anyone in a defensive secondary. He relishes the chance to mix it up against some of the elite defensive backs in the country - right in his backyard. When all is said and done, you can guarantee that Richards is going to be a prospect who will rise to the top, and it really doesn't matter what level he plays at. He is a football player who has skills to really make a difference. College coaches already know about him from watching in the spring, which has been a huge boost to his career.
