CBS4 Promotes Vanessa Borge To Weekend Anchor & Hires Bianca Peters As Traffic Reporter

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Vanessa Borge will move up to the CBS4 news desk as anchor of the Saturday and Sunday evening and 11 p.m. newscasts beginning in mid-October. She will also report for the CBS4 News three days a week.
Vanessa first worked at CBS4 in 2009 as an assignment desk editor. She went on to join NewsRadio WIOD as a reporter/anchor, but later returned to CBS4 as traffic reporter for the CBS4 News This Morning.
Born and raised in South Florida, Vanessa is a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Academy in South Miami. She later graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida with a degree in broadcast journalism.
In addition, Bianca Peters joins CBS4 News This Morning as traffic reporter beginning in mid-October.
Bianca was most recently a morning show anchor/reporter for KOBI/NBC5 and KOTI/FOX 26 in Southern Oregon. Prior to that, she co-hosted the lifestyle program JUCE TV for TBN. She has also covered the X-Games for ESPN.
While studying at California State University Long Beach, Bianca produced and hosted a weekly college football program for the student-run television station, College Beat TV. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in communication.
In addition to helping South Florida commuters avoid traffic tie-ups, she will put her sports knowledge to work as she hosts the "Talkin' with Joe" segment with 560 WQAM's Joe Rose weekday mornings from 5:00 to 7:00 a.m.
