Two Charged After Palm Beach Child Fatally Shot Herself

PALM BEACH (CBSMiami/AP) - Two people have been charged after a four year old girl fatally shot herself in her Riviera Beach home.

Sunday night around 8:30 p.m. Amirra Jacques was playing with a gun she found under a bed and it went off.

The girl's uncle, Nathaniel Lowe, reportedly told police his niece was shot during a home invasion.

Monday morning investigators announced they had charged Lowe and a 16-year-old in the shooting.

Lowe is charged with culpable negligence, tampering with evidence, grand theft of a firearm and possession of a firearm as a felon.

The teen, who reportedly tried to get rid of the gun, is charged with culpable negligence, tampering with evidence, perjury and grand theft of a firearm.
