Carjackers Shoot At Police During Traffic Stop In Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Two suspects are still at large following a shootout with police.
It happened around 11 p.m. Friday, August 19th, in the area of N.W. 27th Avenue and N.W. 54th Street.
Miami-Dade Police officers spotted a stolen 2014 Dodge Charger previously taken the night before in an armed carjacking, according to investigators.
When the patrol car got close, the suspects opened fire, striking the officer's car multiple times. The officer returned fire and the suspects fled on foot.
A search perimeter was established but no one was caught.
None of the officers were injured, but it is unclear if the offenders were hit.
