MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Just when you thought tales from the wizarding world of Harry Potter had come to an end, his creator has come out with a bit of a surprise.

Three new books.

However, they're not about the boy wizard. They instead take readers into the "dark side" of the wizarding world, according to Time.

The books, a collection of short stories written by J.K. Rowling, will be available on September 6th. They can be pre-ordered now for about $3 each at Pottermore, a website created for Potter fans, and at other online book retailers.

Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies profiles two of the Harry Potter stories' most courageous and iconic characters: Minerva McGonagall and Remus Lupin. Rowling also gives us a peek behind the closed curtains of Sybill Trelawney's life, and you'll encounter the reckless, magical-beast-loving Silvanus Kettleburn along the way.

Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide takes you on a journey to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and discover the secrets behind its walls.

Power, Politics And Pesky Poltergeists give readers a glimpse into the darker side of the wizarding world, revealing the ruthless roots of Professor Umbridge, the lowdown on the Ministers for Magic and the history of the wizarding prison Azkaban. You will also delve deeper into Horace Slughorn's early years as Potions master at Hogwarts - and his acquaintance with one Tom Marvolo Riddle.

Rowling has said the eighth installment in the beloved book series, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, will be the last story about Potter in the saga.
