PLAYER: Jordan Merrell
SCHOOL: Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas
CLASS: 2017
HEIGHT: 5-10

SCOUTING: From the time we first watched him play at the youth league level, there was never any doubt about this young man’s ability. After making a splash over the past three years at Dillard, the decision to move over to St. Thomas for his senior year was made to ensure that a college scholarship would come his way. His decision to attend FAU was a huge boost to head coach Charlie Partridge and the Owls. What they got was a quick, strong and valuable pass-catcher who has a chance to be very special. The work he has put in the past year to put himself in a position for colleges to seriously check him out was indeed the reason why several schools watched and made offers. Merrell is truly a prospect that has a real chance to make a solid impact. While there are many options the Raiders have, when his number is called, you can almost guarantee that this is an athlete who will make the most of his chance.
