KEY WEST (CBSMiami) — U.S. Coast Guard crews have found four missing boaters who never returned from a snorkeling trip near Key West.

Authorities said David Thompson, 48, Adam Kelley, 28, Joshua Thompson, 15, and 11-year-old Evan Thompson went missing on Tuesday, July 26th, after leaving Banana Bay Resort on a 25-foot Grady White boat, scheduled to return before 4 p.m.

The group was set to go out about six miles north of Key West.

When they did not return, around 6 p.m., a concerned family member contacted the Coast Guard.

Crews with the Coast Guard and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) began a search by air and sea.
