MIAMI (CBSMiami) — A day after an unmarked police vehicle was stolen from in front of an officer’s southwest Miami home, authorities say it’s been recovered.

Miami-Dade Police found the stolen 2015 Dodge Charger submerged in a canal at 162nd Avenue and S.W. 42nd Street.

The victim said he woke up Friday morning, July 15th, to discover his two personal vehicles had been broken into and his unmarked police vehicle was missing.

Neighbors told CBS4 News that they have noticed a string of burglaries in the neighborhood recently.
