MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, Hendry and Glades counties.

The advisory is effect until 8 p.m.

CBS4 meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez said day time high temps will hit the lower 90s, but when you factor in the humidity it will 'feel like' its 105 to 110 degrees outside.

The weather service advises people to reschedule any strenuous activities they may have outdoors to either early in the morning or evening. Wear light and loose fitting clothing when possible and drink lots of water.

For those who have to work outside, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends frequent rest breaks under some shade, an air conditioned area would be even better.

Anyone overcome by heat stroke should be moved to a cool or shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency, call 911.
