MIAMI (CBSMiami) –  The search is on for a woman who police say held up a Walgreens store in Southwest Miami-Dade and her crime was caught on camera.

It happened at the Walgreens located at 8665 Bird Road on June 13th at 1:20 p.m.

The woman, wearing a blue hoodie pulled over her head and a pair of large sunglasses, entered the store and picked up several items. She walked to the cashier, as if to pay for her items, but instead placed her hand inside her jacket, implying that she had a weapon. The hooded crook demanded all the money in the register and ran out of the store.

She got away with more than $1,000.

"Well I live in the neighborhood and it's kind of concerning because my wife comes here all of the time, she could have been in their with my kids," said customer Manny Sanchez. "It's just society, what it's getting too is kind of crazy that somebody would do that."

Other customers feel the same way.

"It concerns me, of course," said customer Pedro Watson, "You cannot feel safe right now in Miami. A lot of things going on right now, it's getting dangerous, a lot of people doing crazy stuff for a thousand dollars."

If you think you recognize the felonious female, call Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477) or (866) 471-8477. You can also visit www.crimestoppersmiami.com and select "Give a Tip" or send a text message to 274637. Enter CSMD followed by the tip information and press send.
