Man Carjacked Outside Miami Beach Home

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A Miami Beach man said he parked his car outside his condo for a moment around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday because he had to make some room in his garage before pulling in.
Steve Schlackman said that's when three men with their faces covered carjacked him.
"You're like… what happened?" he said.
Schlackman is still in disbelief at how quickly a trio of thieves made off with his car, phone and computer equipment outside his Miami Beach condo.
He said he was reaching in the passenger side of the car to get a phone when the bad guys descended on him.
"Somebody grabbed me from behind and put a gun to my head," he said.
Schlackman said the guy spoke to him briefly.
"It was basically get the hell out of here," he remembers.
So he backed out of the way and within seconds his car and his stuff were memories.
"They tore off (northbound) without even closing the doors," he said.
Schlackman said the cops arrived quickly but they couldn't find the thieves or his 2015 Volkswagen Golf.
He said he wishes he had a better description of the bad guys.
"You don't even have time to think and you say to yourself, 'What did these guys look like?' I know they had bandanas on but all you really see is the gun," Schlackman said.
Schlackman said all his stuff is replaceable and his computer files are backed up. But still, he'd like to see the thieves get what they deserve.
"I want them to get caught," he said. "I want to get my car back. That'd be nice."
