Brown on Loria: MLB Owners "Not Very Happy With Him"
Forbes sports business columnist Maury Brown joined the Joe Rose Show on 560 WQAM to discuss Jeffery Loria as an owner with the Montreal Expos and Miami Marlins, how fellow owners feel about Loria and how he's viewed in the commissioner's office.
On how other MLB Owners feel about Marlins Owner Jeffrey Loria:
"When you can get them to talk about it, they're (other MLB Owners) not very happy with him. At the top of their list, it's certainly this idea that, in a brand new stadium, they're not pulling in the revenues that they should."
On how those in the MLB's commissioner feels about Loria:
No one in the commissioner's office is going to come straight out and say that they're (Marlins Ownership) screwing up. But I thought it was kind of telling that a top executive there asked me after the article ran 'So what's your sense on what's going on there and what are you hearing from the owners?'"
