MIAMI (CBSMiami) — The wife of former New York Giants linebacker and pro football Hall-of-Famer Lawrence Taylor was arrested following a domestic incident.

Lynette Taylor, 42, was taken into custody Thursday by Pembroke Pines Police after she allegedly whacked her husband on the back of his head causing a minor laceration.

According to her arrest report, Lynette was sitting in a recliner and threw an object across the living room and hit her husband, who was in the kitchen. The action resulted in a three-inch cut.

When the police arrived, she told them "Yeah, I threw it at him," according to her arrest form. She then refused to get out of the recliner. Several officers had to physically remove her from the chair as she yelled profanities at them, police said.

During her bond court appearance Friday morning, Taylor reportedly denied the allegation, telling Circuit Court Judge John "Jay" Hurley, "That's a lie. My husband is a 300 pound linebacker."

Police said she told a different story Thursday night when she was arrested.  She's quoted in a police report saying "I threw it at him" and going on to admit "I made him bleed."

Judge Hurley ordered her to stay at least 500 feet away from her husband and not to contact him via text, email or phone calls.

She was charged with battery and resisting arrest.

Lynette Taylor got a bit testy when prosecutors brought up her history, including several domestic violence changes that were dropped.

"She was arrested for domestic violence assault and battery and..." said an attorney.

"That's [expletive]," Lynette interrupted.

Taylor, himself, was sentenced to six months probation in 2011 after he pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct and patronizing an underage prostitute.
