OPA-LOCKA (CBSMiami) -- As questions remain regarding the death of embattled Opa-locka city commissioner Terrence Pinder in a high-speed crash in May, CBS4 News has obtained search warrants issued in mid-March that had investigators confiscate several items at his apartment.
The allegations listed in the search warrants included "sexual performance by a child" as well as "bribery and unlawful compensation."
Pinder's life came to a violent end when he was behind the wheel of a city-owned Chevy Tahoe that rammed headfirst into a tree just 24 hours before he was set to turn himself in to prosecutors.
State officials say he was facing charges related to bribes he solicited to help a local businessman, who had been acting as an informant, to assist in obtaining approval from the city of Opa-locka to operate a solid waste transfer station.
In the search warrants obtained by CBS4 News, investigators removed several items from Pinder's apartment.
Items included several electronics -- an iPhone, iPad, iMac computer -- more than $3,000 in cash, as well as several computer disks.
Among those included a DVD labeled "New 4Four Colored Gurlz" and a DVD in a retail commercial case titled "4 Play Part 3."
The embattled commissioner had previously been removed from his office for corruption by Governor Bush, and was re-elected to serve Opa-locka residents in 2014.
The 43-year-old spent most of his political career mired in controversy and investigations.
