FORT MYERS (CBSMiami) — Florida authorities issued an Amber Alert Thursday – asking the public if they have seen a missing 9-year old.

Diana Alvarez – who has not been seen since Sunday in Fort Myers – may be in the company of 28-year old Jorge Guerrero.

Deputies say they may be traveling in a tan Chevrolet Malibu with the Florida tag number “78NHD.”

Authorities say Guerrero has ties to the Orange County and Okeechobee County area. He is described as being 5’05 tall and weighing about 145 pounds.

Investigators are trying to find out what happened to Alvarez who was last spotted in the 3500 block of Unique Circle.  They aid she was wearing a short-sleeve shirt and shorts.

On Memorial Day, Lee County deputies were searching for her by air and land.
