Man Sought In Hobby Store Theft

PLANTATION (CBSMiami) - Caught on camera - a man walking out of a popular hobby story in Plantation with a pricey remote control car.

The only problem is - he didn't pay for it.

According to surveillance video at Maniacs Hobby on Peters Road, the man walked into the store around 11 a.m. on May 22nd.

A short time later he walked out of the store with the car clutched in his arms.

Police say he got into a blue or silver Focus that was backed into a handicap parking spot just outside the front door of the hobby shop and drove off.

The Plantation Police Department has asked for the public's help in identifying this man. Anyone who can help is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (954) 494-TIPS (8477).
