Hobby Lobby Recalls Pacifier Holders, Rattles

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Hobby Lobby is recalling thousands of pacifier holders and rattles.

This recall involves approximately 12,900 Little Wishes Summer Plush Pacifier Holders, including the Blue Whale, (item number 5202601), and the Pink Octopus, (item number 5725213).

The pacifier holders are made of a plush fabric, stuffed with fiber, measure approximately 4.5 inches by 2 inches and have a 10-inch ribbon attached to the body. The item number is printed on the top left corner of the product hang tag. "Hobby Lobby 9123069" is printed on the front and back of the sewn-in label.

The problem is that the fin of the whale and the head of the octopus can detach from the pacifier holder, posing a choking hazard.

Hobby Lobby has received one report of the whale fin detaching from the holder. No injuries have been reported.

Also, recalled are 14,400 Little Wishes Summer Chenille Stuffed Rattles, including the Pink & Green Fish rattles (item number 5141577), and the Blue & Yellow Fish rattles (item number 5127642). The rattles are made of a soft chenille fabric with a fiber stuffing. They are 8.5 inches by 7 inches and have a hole cut out in the middle. The item number is printed on the top left corner of the product hang tag. Rattles have a sewn-in label with "Reg. No. PA-15130(CN)" and "Hobby Lobby 9123069" printed on the front of the label.

The problem with the rattles is the seams can separate exposing the fiber stuffing and bell rattle on the inside posing a choking hazard.

Anyone who has one of the recalled rattles or pacifier holders should immediately stop using the recalled pacifier holders, and rattles, and return them to the nearest Hobby Lobby store for a full refund or store credit.
