POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) - An 11-year-old girl is back home after she says a stranger abducted her while she was walking to Palmview Elementry School on Wednesday morning.

The girl told Broward Sheriff's investigators that she was on East Copans Road around 7a.m. when she noticed a man in a black car drive past several times.

When she reached 1st Avenue, the girl said the man got out and dragged her into the car.

The girl said they then drove around the area for several minutes. The man ended up parking the car in an alley between Northeast 3rd Avenue and Dixie Highway.

Once there, the girl said the man tried to force her to have sex with him.  She said was able to escape by opening the passenger door and running to her school.

"She's shaken up, she's scared, she doesn't know what's going on," said the girl's mother Chantale Domond told CBS4.

"It's scary that this person is still on the loose, that's the scary part, not just about us but its about other children as well," said the girl's pastor, Nakenya Robinson.

Two months ago, about a mile from the school, a 13-year old girl said a man tried to abduct her as she walked home from school.

At the time, the Broward Sheriff's Office released video and a sketch of the man, but he has never been caught.

BSO says the two cases are not connected.

Palmview's principal notified parents on a robocall about the reported abduction.
