Dolphins Sign LT Laremy Tunsil, QB Brandon Doughty

DAVIE (CBSMiami) -- The Miami Dolphins have announced the signing of two of their draft picks, as well as 12 undrafted college free agents.

Miami signed first round pick Laremy Tunsil, selected at No. 13 overall.

The Lake City, Fla. native was a three-year starter at left tackle for Mississippi. He made second-team All-American and first-team All-SEC honors in back-to-back seasons (2014-15). As a true freshman in 2013, Tunsil earned Freshman All-American and SEC All-Freshman honors. He also earned second-team All-SEC honors, joining his teammate Evan Engram as the first two true freshmen in school history to earn All-SEC honors.

Davie native Brandon Doughty also signed with the team, taken in the seventh round.

The Western Kentucky quarterback started three years at the school and led the nation in passing in 2014 and 2015. He set 37 school records during his collegiate career, including 17 career passing marks, 14 season records and six single-game marks. He left Western Kentucky as the school's all-time leader in nearly every passing category, including yards (12,855), touchdowns (111), completions (1,023), attempts (1,491), completion percentage (68.6) and passer efficiency (161.0). Doughty played high school football in Coconut Creek at North Broward Prep.

The Dolphins also signed the following undrafted college free agents: LB Akil Blount, LB James Burgess, C/G Ruben Carter, long snapper Ryan DiSalvo, LB Tyler Gray, FS A.J. Hendy, TE Gabe Hughes, DE Farrington Huguenin, kicker Marshall Koehn, CB Lafayette Pitts, WR Rashawn Scott and WR Brandon Shippen.
