Pastor Larry Thompson has just retired as the senior pastor at the First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale.

He was at the helm at First Baptist longer than any other, nearly a quarter century, But Pastor Thompson was much more than just the spiritual leader for thousands of South Floridians.
