MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A woman has been charged after she crashed into a Miami apartment building overnight.

Keyyvona Lavon Joseph Rolle, 27, was driving at a high rate of speed when she lost control and slammed in the building at 7155 NW 17th Avenue, according to police.

Rolle reportedly tried to slip away after the accident but was picked up by officers arriving on the scene.

The crash damaged two beams that support the building's second floor walkway. Due to the damage, the structure has been deemed unsafe by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

One resident sustained minor abrasions due to flying debris.

Two people who lived in the unit hit by the car are now staying with family.

Rolle has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and property damage.

The building's landlord said this is not the first time this has happened. Another driver crashed into the apartment complex last November.
