PLANTATION (CBSMiami) — Investigators are trying to identify two thieves seen stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise at a prescription eyewear shop in Broward.READ MORE: Storms Causing Flight Delays At South Florida Airports
It happened last week at the Lens Crafters inside the Westfield Broward Mall.
Video shows the theft went seemingly unnoticed by staff at the time — as one crook casually browsed the displays, picking out pairs of frames one at a time, and giving them to his buddy sitting down near the front entrance.READ MORE: COVID In Florida: 5,520 New Cases, 9 Deaths Reported On Sunday
After some time, the two guys simply get up and walk out of the store with more than $10,000 worth of stolen frames.
