MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Federal agents have turned their investigation to South Florida after a dangerous fugitive from Hawaii was recently spotted stealing items from department stores in Miami.

U.S. Marshals said one of Hawaii's Top 15 Most Wanted fugitives, Luke J. Warner, 48, was seen in January taking merchandise from a Target and Michael's store on Dixie Highway.

Warner skipped out on a 10-year federal prison sentence for meth trafficking and is also facing a state sentence.

"Luke Warner's blatant disregard of the court's ruling and his decision to challenge law enforcement has made his apprehension a top priority," said U.S. Marshal Gervin Miyamoto. "Our Deputy U.S. Marshals and our federal and state law enforcement partners are determined to ensure Warner faces justice."

Authorities believe he has ties to Florida and has an extensive criminal history including armed robbery and weapon and drug possessions. He's considered armed and dangerous and agents think he may be homeless.

Warner, who also uses the alias Louis Manetti, is described as a 5'7" white male weighing about 170 lbs with graying hair, light brown eyes and a small facial divot on his left cheek.

"He is known to frequent big box stores such as Wal-Mart and Target, especially their electronics departments. In addition, Warner's interests include dealing in precious metals and going to jewelry shows, and swap meets," officials said in a press release.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
