The Florida Commission on Ethics issued an order Wednesday saying they believe Deerfield Beach Mayor Jean Robb corruptly misused her elected position, accepted a prohibited gift, and received unauthorized compensation.
The mayor is accused of accepting $1,000 in donations to two charities of her choice from the owner of a luxury automobile dealership in the city. Investigators said she used her position to get benefits for her church and pastor. She allegedly told her staff to issue an employee parking sticker to the pastor and to use city personnel and equipment to clean the church’s parking lot.

Mayor Robb has the option to call for an informal hearing before the commission, request a formal hearing before an administrative law judge; or resolve the matter through a stipulation, settlement, or consent order.
