MIAMI (CBSMiami) – They're calling it a "city within a city."

The Miami World Center is under construction right now in downtown Miami and CBS4 is getting the first look at the project ahead of its official unveiling.

This enormous 1.1 million square-foot space takes up six full city blocks.

When the Miami World Center is completed, it will be America's second largest urban development.

The project's developer says it'll offer up a ton of new jobs.

"There'll be 600 construction jobs that Miami World Center as a whole will have around thousands of Construction jobs," said Dan Kodsi with Paramount Ventures.

The mega project will feature A 60 story, 700 foot skyscraper with more than 500 residential units.

The main tower will boast some of the world's best amenities inside, such as private elevators that will open up into your own foyer.

Outside?

"I have to say, a soccer field is one that we've probably gotten the most attention for," said Kodsi. "It's the fact that we have this full size soccer field."

Plus tennis courts and a resort style swimming pool with bungalows and guest suites.

The promenade will be home to mega retailers for shopping lovers and dining establishments for foodies to enjoy.

Florida's new high speed rail Brightline, connecting Orlando to South Florida, will have a train station built a block away.

In the near future, you will see six buildings on six blocks going up all at the same time.

The entire World Miami Center project is expected to be completed by the end of 2018.

The six structures will be both residential and office buildings including an 1800 room Marriott Marquis Hotel and the downtown hubs to both the metro rail and Metromover transit systems, making it easy to get both in and out of this area.
