Forbes Billionaires List Has South Florida Connections

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The 30th annual Forbes Magazine Billionaire's List is out.
It showcases the richest people in 67 countries and territories around the world.
On the list are a few South Floridians that locals may recognize.
Most of us can easily guess who is at the top of the Forbes Billionaires List.
Microsoft founder Bill Gates, worth $75 billion, for example.
But some list makers have a South Florida connection.
Number three is investing tycoon and owner of South Florida car dealerships, Warren Buffet. He has $60.8 billion to his well-known name.
Owner of the Miami Dolphins, Stephen Ross joins the list at 80. His billions are self-made and come from his expansive real estate portfolio.
Ross bought the Dolphins from number 666. Wayne Huizenga may be an unlucky number on the list but he probably feels lucky to have $2.6 billion to spend.
Speaking of Miami sports, how about number 167 Micky Arison?
The Bal Harbour resident has a net worth of $7.5 billion. He's the CEO of Carnival Cruise Line and owner of your Miami Heat.
Micky's little sister Shari Arison is also on the list, but he has bragging rights.
He makes more than Shari who is number 392 and spends her $4.2 billion on philanthropic and charitable organizations.
The Frost Art museum at FIU, UM's Frost School of Music, and the Museum of Science are all named after number 421 on the Forbes list, Doctor Phillip Frost.
He is the CEO of Opko Health, a Miami-based pharmaceutical company.
Next is a name that locals know well and see often in South Florida. Norman Braman owns one of Florida's largest car dealerships, Braman Motorcars. He is number 1011 with a net worth of $1.78 billion.
And because it is Super Tuesday, it is only fitting to mention republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
He is number 324 on the Forbes list and is worth $4.5 billion dollars.
