Venetian Causeway Ready To Open For Drivers

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- After nine months of getting rerouted to travel between Miami and Miami Beach, the road is ready to reopen.

Drivers will be able to get back on the Venetian Causeway at noon on Monday.

The 730-foot stretch of the west bridge connecting the Venetian Islands to the mainland was completely reconstructed.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held for the $12 million project that's finishing on schedule.
