MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- He's an Academy Award nominated, Golden Globe and Tony award-winning performer who can do it all -- sing, dance and act.

He's Hugh Jackman and when CBS4's Lisa Petrillo sat down to talk to him and his co-star, Taron Egerton, about their new feel-good movie Eddie the Eagle, shot on location in Germany and Austria, she had to ask:

"I have to ask you because I follow you on Instagram -- you are everywhere fast. Do you have "pinch me" moments that you can do everything you love to do, from movies to music?"

"Yes, all the time. And the people I get to work with and the places I get to go are amazing. In this film, I was loving to be shooting in Germany and Austria," Jackman said.

Taron Egerton chimed in, "I've got to say, I've perused Hugh's Instagram, as well, and it does look like he has a jet-set lifestyle, but I've never known anyone who works as hard as he does and never takes it for granted."

Eddie the Eagle is about a real life British ski jumper named Michael, "Eddie the Eagle", Edwards. While he wasn't a gifted athlete at all, he never stopped believing in himself.

Hugh Jackman is his cynical coach, a former ski jumper himself, who is won over by this unlikely Olympian's pure will.

"I'm a skier. I grew up skiing and I love the sport but jumping is another animal," said Jackman.

"So did you jump?" Petrillo had to ask Egerton, who plays Eddie.

"The short answer is no," Egerton said. "I'm not a skier. I've never skied before in my life and ski jumpers are specialists -- it's terrifying and dangerous for me. So just standing up on a pair of skis was enough of an achievement."

At 26, Egerton wasn't old enough to remember a time when Eddie the Eagle was capturing the hearts of winter games fans around the world.

"Taron had it much harder because he wasn't born when Eddie jumped but people around the world at least have the visual of him jumping and he's still jumping today. He was on set and it's a nerve-wracking thing," Jackman said.

Hugh says there's a lesson for everyone in this film.

"My friend came and saw it and she has kids the same age as my kids, and she said every parent should take their kids to this movie because, spoiler alert, he never won the gold medal. He came in last at the Olympics but it shows you don't have to win get the trophy. You don't have to win to be a winner. It's the heart. It's the determination and the courage you show and willingness to follow your dreams, no matter how crazy they are," said Jackman.

Eddie the Eagle is now out in theaters.
