MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Beatles fans are remembering a famous birthday today. George Harrison, one of the founding members of the legendary band would have turned 73 years old today.

According to, fans will gather at his Walk of Fame Star in Hollywood this evening. The celebration has a theme, “Love One Another,” which are reportedly the last words Harrison spoke before he died.

73 birthday cupcakes will be placed around the star in the shape of a large heart and an “open mic” will be set up next to George’s star, where fans are invited to perform songs and poems as well as share loving remembrances of him.

George Harrison, the “quiet Beatle” was born February 25, 1943 in Liverpool, England and passed away on November 29, 2001 in Los Angeles after a long bout with cancer.
