Postal Service Issues Stamp To Honor Founder Of AME Church

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The postal service is celebrating Black History Month by issuing a stamp to honor Richard Allen, the founder of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Dozens gathered in North Miami on Tuesday to dedicate this year's stamp to the famous activist and civic leader.

The Black Heritage Series stamp coincides with the 200th anniversary of Allen's founding of the AME Church.
