WEST PARK (CBSMiami) - Surveillance cameras rolled as a patient robber got away with a bag full of cash from a West Park store in the days leading up to Christmas.

An employee and an assistant manager at the Deals store, at 1959 South S.R. 7, said after closing up around 10 p.m. after a busy December 23rd, they went to the office to count the money in the cash registers.

About an hour later, the automatic lights in the store shut off and the women heard a bang outside the door.

When the assistant manager opened the door to see where the noise had come from, a man with a gun barged into the office.

Video shows as he pushed his way into the back office and ordered the women to the floor.

Both women dropped to the floor. They said the man stood over the employee pointing the gun at her as he demanded the money in the safe.

The assistant manager stood up and calmly loaded a paper bag he threw her way with thousands of dollars in bills and coins. The man then instructed the women to count to 100 as they lay face down on the floor.

He then ran out of the store.

A review of the store's surveillance video found the man had entered store around 9:30 p.m. and had hidden inside waiting to make his move.

The nephew of the assistant manager said she hasn't recovered from the holdup.

"She was depressed he took her phone and she couldn't get in contact with anybody," said a witness."He stole her purse of a lot of things."

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at (954) 493-TIPS (8477) or go to www.browardcrimestoppers.org.
