Last year the popular Bolliger & Mabillard launch rollercoaster was closed and dismantled. Word was that the ride would be getting new cars, new track, new on-ride and in-queue effects. There were also rumors that the actual ride layout could change.

The Incredible Hulk Coaster is one of the Islands of Adventure original rides and operated daily from from May 28, 1999 to September 8, 2015 when it was closed for the major refurbishment.
So what does it take to remake the coaster from the ground up? According to Universal Creative a lot, and they do mean a lot,of measuring. Forget the old adage of “measure twice, cut once.” In rebuilding The Incredible Hulk Coaster, it was more like, “measure a bazillion times, install once”, according to those in the know. An expansive network of laser surveying tools are being used at every step of the reconstruction process, ensuring that the final bolt goes perfectly into place.
