Peck And Roll: Lowry Gives Fan A Kiss, Raptors Top Heat

TORONTO (AP) — Newly elected All-Star Kyle Lowry kissed a fan on the forehead after accidentally falling on her Friday night, then gave the Toronto Raptors a boost in a 101-81 victory over the Miami Heat.
Lowry was trying to save a loose ball early in the first quarter and toppled out of bounds. He landed on top of the woman, who was sitting in the first row and didn't appear to be hurt.
Lowry then gave her a kiss, and she smiled as he returned to the court. Back from the peck and roll, he finished with 15 points and six assists as Toronto won its season-high seventh in a row.
DeMar DeRozan scored 33 for the Raptors. Terrence Ross chipped in with 13 from the bench.
Chris Bosh had 26 and Dwyane Wade 22 points for Miami.
Lowry and Wade are set to be in the backcourt for the Eastern Conference in the All-Star Game next month in Toronto.
The seventh straight win is the third time the Raptors have had a run of that length, the last coming in 2002 in the midst of a franchise-record nine-game streak. It is also the longest string that Dwane Casey has presided over in his 4½-season tenure as Raptors coach.
Toronto never trailed, jumping in front on a 3-pointer from James Johnson just 27 seconds in as part of a 9-2 run to open the game.
After scoring 64 points in his previous two games, DeRozan led the way, putting 15 on the board in the first quarter as the Raptors took a 31-10 lead.
Toronto led 60-44 at the break. It was the fifth time this season that the Raptors have scored at least 60 points in the first half.

Heat: Wade returned to the lineup after missing Wednesday's loss in Washington with shoulder soreness. The injury-riddled Heat dressed just nine players for the game. ... Bosh registered the 17,000th career point with a driving layup in the first quarter. ... The game was the Heat's ninth on the road of the franchise-record 12-game road trip they're currently on. So far, Miami has put up a 3-6 record away from American Airlines Arena in January.
Raptors: Toronto has won 18 straight games when holding opponents to less than 100 points, the second-longest streak in franchise history. The team is 23-3 in those games this season. ... This is the first time the Air Canada Centre has sold out for the first 20 home games to begin a season. Overall, including playoffs, the Raptors have sold out 58 consecutive games.
