The crash happened on NW 79th St. and 4th Ave. at around 4 a.m. Friday.

Cameras showed a white tractor trailer going east on 79th.

Deangelo Franklin comes into frame and is seen jumping a fence. That’s when a White Chevy Impala ran into her, then slammed into a fence and several parked cars at a used car dealership.

Franklin flew into a van in the used car lot.

“I hear the tire screaming, ‘weee, weee,’ and I said, ‘oh snap,’ and the only thing I hear is ‘boom,’” said witness Erilet Petit. “Oh I feel sorry for that person.”

Police said the suspected driver, Trenton Jackson, ditched the car a few blocks away from the scene then took off running.

It was his girlfriend who reported him after he showed up at their place.

“He didn’t tell me what was going on,” said Andrea Curgil. “I just asked him what was going on and he just went into the shower. And that was it.”

Curgil told CBS4 Jackson then left the house naked – no clothes, no towel.

Police found him on the street soon after.

His girlfriend told CBS4 he doesn’t drink or smoke. But she doesn’t know what happened to him to make him lose control of his car like this.

Police said Jackson has mental issues and told them he was off his meds.

“He need help. It’s outta my hands now,” Curgil said.

Jackson is getting psychological evaluation. Once that’s taken care of police will decide what to charge him with.
