“I never knew of a guy [Dan Marino] who would drop back without any trepidation. He knew he was throwing it and he knew he was going to put it in places it might be intercepted, and he was like ‘I don’t care, I’m just throwing it.”

On whether Chip Kelly will work in San Francisco: “If he gets the right quarterback it will. If it doesn’t, he’ll be like every other coach out there, looking for a job in three years. That’s why the quarterback position is so key.”
