The lady Canes moved up to No. 16 in both the AP Top 25 Poll and the USA Today Coaches Poll.

That’s a five place improvement in the AP Poll and a four place improvement in the USA Today Poll.

This marks the first time since the end of the 2011-12 season that the Hurricanes have been in the top 20 in both polls.

Miami (17-2, 5-1 ACC) has risen 12 spots in the AP Poll and 11 in the USA Today poll over the past two weeks. The Canes have gone 4-0 during that span.

Only 14 teams in the country earned at least one top-10 vote.

The Hurricanes have the second-most victories in all of Division I. They are tied for eighth in winning percentage (.895).

Miami’s next game will be a good test.  They host No. 14/13 Florida State at the Bank United Center in Coral Gables.
