BROWARD (CBSMiami) – A burglar is apparently targeting vapor shops in Broward.

While police have not confirmed a connection, surveillance at three different stores shows a thief using a glass punch to break the glass front door before storming in and stealing the cash drawer.

Sunday morning the burglar smashed his way into Vapor Blade, located in the Southland Shopping Center on State Road 84, and stole the cash drawer.

Store manager Ashley Forbess said she is most surprised the thief ignores expensive merchandise.

"The batteries, tanks and juices, that's where the value is," she explained.

A week before, a burglar apparently targeted Vape Queen on University Drive in Davie.

Store owner Debra Camillo said it was a sobering wake up call for a small business owner who has everything at stake.

"The biggest part is the reality how vulnerable any business is," she said.

In her shop, a camera captured the thief knocking over a computer screen and then making his getaway with the cash drawer.

Hours before surveillance cameras captured a burglar doing the same thing at a Pembroke Pines vapor store.

If you have information on the burglaries, please call Broward Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-8477.
