Adrienne Motley scored 20 points and No. 21 Miami beat short-handed North Carolina 76-61 on Sunday for coach Katie Meier’s 200th win with the Hurricanes.
Jessica Thomas and Laura Cornelius added 13 points apiece for Miami (17-2, 5-1 ACC). Cornelius also had eight rebounds and seven assists.

Stephanie Watts had 19 points and nine rebounds for North Carolina (12-8, 2-3), which was outscored 24-0 in bench points. Hillary Summers added 17 points and 11 boards for her fifth double-double of the season.
It was announced Saturday that Xylina McDaniel, a four-year starter for North Carolina, would miss the rest of the season after injuring her right knee Thursday night against Georgia Tech.
